Teeth Whitening for Sensitive Teeth

If you have sensitive teeth and you want to achieve whiter teeth, avoid home remedies which use citrus fruits. This fruits are acidic and can just trigger the sensitivity of your teeth. Apply remedies that do not need lemon juice or orange juice. Use tooth brush with extra soft bristles and choose tooth paste designed for sensitive teeth.

You should not consider bleaching if you have sensitive teeth, but if you wish to undergo bleaching and you suffer from pain, take an anti-inflammatory medicine one and a half hour before the process. There are three bleaching methods designed for sensitive teeth. These are power bleaching, dentist-supervised treatment, and in-home treatment. For power bleaching, the dentist first applies a protective gel or rubber shield to protect the patient’s gums and tissues before applying a whitening solution. Therefore, the hypersensitive areas are concealed for protection. For the dentist-supervised treatment, the dentist will place whitening solution containing carbamide peroxide on the mouth guard and this must be worn by the patient at home. You will just need different kinds of gels, whitening strips, and whitening tooth paste for the in-home treatment. You can see the result depending on how often you apply it.
